Mosaïca (S.A) is an Anglo-Tunisian manufacturer specializing in the creation, production, supply and sale of decorative mosaics of the highest quality, for both paving and murals decor.

 The mosaic company was founded in 1995, following a fortuitous meeting between two kindred spirits, Mr. Abdelkader BEN CHEHIDA, who had previously received a doctorate at the Sorbonne, and taught History of Art there, and had been a Fulbright Scholar at Harvard University, and Mr. Peter J. QUINCEY, a British commercial entrepreneur.

 Success followed swiftly, and in 1996 the company was awarded first prize in the Booker Tate Award for Small Businesses, coming out on top of the 25 companies competing in the finals.

 Since that time, our range of decorative handcrafted mosaic products, particularly our core range of hand-made tiles, borders and tableaux (larger panels), have been continually improved and developed, to the stage where today they feature in the order books of the great distributors, architects and interior designers worldwide.

 Mosaïca has been often imitated but never equaled, and we distinguish ourselves from would-be competitors by the sound management of our 127 mosaic workers, all of whom have been fully trained in the technical skills and the subtle “tricks of the trade” and who represent easily the largest single group working in this field.

 We maintain a competitive and efficient craft output, devoting much time and energy to the research and development of new products and designs, while also concentrating on our standard product range (artistic mosaic tile production, and mosaic border production in all styles) as they are required by our distributors.  

 In addition to this basic product range, (Greco-Roman mosaic, modern mosaic, contemporary mosaic...), Mosaïca also looks after the specific needs of architects, interior designers and private individuals, who may be looking to achieve something unique and original in a particular space, or seeking an artistic feature or other creative piece as the stand-out element in an interior or exterior design.  In this case, we work from our own sketches and graphic designs, and those of the client, at all stages of the project, to agree upon both colour choice and other design elements.  A final proposal will then be offered, at a competitive price and according to the best business practice.
